The Powerplant
The P2010 Gran Lusso is powered by the Continental CD-170, which is a liquid-cooled 4-cylinder in-line four-stroke diesel engine with DOHC (double overhead camshaft). The operation of the direct diesel injection engine is based on the common-rail technique and is turbocharged. Additionally, the engine is controlled by a FADEC system, with fully integrated engine monitoring inside the avionics suite.
