Privacy and Analytics Notice

Effective date: August 5, 2026

Aviation Unlimited Inc. respects your privacy. This notice explains how we collect, use, share and protect personal information when you visit aviationunlimited.com, contact us, or submit an inquiry about an aircraft, part, maintenance, brokerage or other service.

The short version

  • We use the information you submit to answer your request and provide the service you asked about.
  • Google Analytics 4 and WPForms User Journey measurement are used only after you choose Accept analytics.
  • Declining analytics does not prevent you from browsing the site or submitting a form.
  • Our analytics setup is not used for personalized advertising. Google signals and user-provided data collection are off.
  • We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, phone numbers, form contents or other directly identifying information to Google Analytics.
  • You can change your analytics choice at any time through Privacy choices.

Who is responsible

Aviation Unlimited Inc. is responsible for the personal information described in this notice. We handle personal information under applicable Canadian privacy law, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act where it applies. Questions, requests and privacy concerns can be sent to info@aviationunlimited.com.

Information we collect

Information you provide

When you contact us or submit a form, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, the type of help requested, your message, and any aircraft, part, sales, brokerage, maintenance or service details you choose to provide. We also keep related correspondence and records needed to follow up on your request.

Please do not submit passwords, payment-card details, government identification numbers, medical information or other sensitive information through a general website inquiry form.

Website and security information

Our website, hosting and security systems may automatically record technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as IP address, browser and device information, requested page, date and time, referring page, error information and indicators of abusive or suspicious activity.

Analytics information, with your consent

If you accept analytics, Google Analytics 4 may collect pseudonymous information such as a first-party browser identifier, session information, approximate location, browser and device category, traffic source, pages viewed, scrolling, downloads, site-search activity, contact method and other interactions configured on the site.

With the same consent, WPForms User Journey functionality may record the referring source, campaign information and pages viewed before a form is submitted, then associate that journey with the submitted form entry so our team can understand how an inquiry reached us. The form remains available when analytics is declined, but this journey measurement is not activated.

How we use information

  • Respond to inquiries and provide requested information, quotes, parts, maintenance, sales, brokerage or related services.
  • Communicate about a request and maintain appropriate business records.
  • Operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the website and forms.
  • With analytics consent, understand website use, traffic sources, content performance and completed inquiry actions.
  • Meet legal, regulatory, accounting, safety and security obligations, and establish or defend legal claims where necessary.

Analytics choices and controls

Analytics is optional. Google Analytics 4 measurement and WPForms User Journey measurement are blocked until you explicitly accept analytics. A necessary browser record stores your choice so the site can respect it. You can decline analytics and still use the site’s core features.

You can reopen Privacy choices to change or withdraw your choice. Withdrawing consent stops future optional analytics collection on this browser after the preference is updated. You can also clear site data in your browser. Clearing browser data may remove the saved preference, in which case the site may ask again.

Google Analytics configuration

  • Purpose: website measurement and service improvement, not personalized advertising.
  • Advertising features: Google signals, user-provided data collection and ads personalization are off.
  • Direct identifiers: we do not intentionally send form-field contents, names, email addresses, phone numbers, free-text messages, uploaded files, aircraft registration details or serial numbers to Google Analytics.
  • Redaction: our implementation is designed to remove common email addresses, phone numbers and selected sensitive query parameters from page information before analytics events are sent. Please avoid placing personal information in a page URL.
  • IP addresses: Google states that GA4 does not log or store individual IP addresses. IP information may be processed transiently to derive approximate location and for service operation and security.
  • Retention: user-level and event-level GA4 retention is set to 14 months. Google’s retention control does not govern every aggregated standard report or data Google must keep for security, fraud prevention or legal reasons.

Our GA4 property is linked to Google Search Console so we can review organic Google Search queries, impressions, clicks, landing pages, country and device reporting alongside website performance. The reports available through this link do not give us the identity of a searcher’s Google account, and we do not use the link to send contact-form contents to Search Console.

Cookies and local storage

  • Necessary storage: used for core site functions, security, form operation and remembering your privacy choice. It cannot be disabled through the analytics control because the site needs it to operate and remember your selection.
  • Analytics storage: used only after you accept analytics. GA4 commonly uses the first-party cookies _ga to distinguish browsers and _ga_<measurement-id> to maintain session state. Google lists a default expiry of two years, although browsers may shorten it and you can delete it sooner.
  • User Journey storage: WPForms may use first-party browser storage after analytics consent to preserve permitted attribution and page-journey information until a form is submitted or the storage is cleared.

When we share information

We limit access to people and organizations that need information for the purposes described above. This may include authorized Aviation Unlimited personnel; website hosting, security, form, email, IT and analytics providers; professional advisers; and manufacturers, suppliers, carriers or service partners when reasonably needed to answer or fulfill your request. We may also disclose information where required or permitted by law, to protect rights or safety, to investigate misuse, or as part of a proposed or completed business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.

Some service providers, including Google, may process information outside Canada, including in the United States and other countries. Information in another country may be subject to that country’s laws and lawful access by courts, law-enforcement or national-security authorities. We remain responsible for personal information transferred to service providers for processing and use contractual or other measures appropriate to the service and information involved.

For more information about Google’s practices, see the Google Privacy Policy.

How long we keep information

We keep inquiry, correspondence and business records only as long as reasonably needed to respond, provide requested services, maintain appropriate records, meet legal or contractual obligations, resolve disputes and protect the site. Retention depends on the nature of the request and any continuing business, warranty, safety, regulatory or legal requirement. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete, anonymize or securely dispose of it.

GA4 user-level and event-level data is configured for 14-month retention. Google Search Console currently makes up to 16 months of Search performance data available in linked reports. Browser cookies and local storage may remain until their expiry, until the purpose ends, or until you clear them, whichever comes first.

Safeguards

We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including access controls, secure connections, system maintenance, backups and service-provider controls. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your privacy choices and rights

Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access personal information we hold about you, request a correction, ask how it has been used or shared, or withdraw consent for a use that depends on consent. Withdrawal applies going forward and may be subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice. If information is required to provide a service you requested, withdrawing it may limit our ability to complete that service.

Send a request to info@aviationunlimited.com. Please describe the request clearly. We may need to verify your identity before releasing or changing personal information. Some analytics information is pseudonymous or aggregated and may not be reasonably retrievable by name or email address.

Questions or concerns

Please contact us first at info@aviationunlimited.com so we can review and respond to your concern. You may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada about a privacy concern.
